Where can I purchase foompa designs?

Foompa products are produced and sold in San Francisco, CA. All garments and accessories are hand-made by me in my home studio. All sales are final. Please email for pricing.

Can I hire you to make a custom piece?
Of course! Though I have a wide range of existing styles available in my current collection, I am available for custom garments as well.

Are you available for freelance/full-time work?
Yup! I am currently available for freelance, part-time, or full-time apparel and accessory design, pattern-making, hand illustration, and technical illustration work in the Bay Area.

Can you create a custom pattern for me?
Yes. I do pattern-making for both individuals and companies. Please email for additional details and rates.

What kind of training do you have?
I am primarily self-taught. I have received professional training in technical pattern-making through Apparel Arts, working under Director Suzy Furrer. My creative education has grown exponentially over the past 20 or so years that I've been sewing and I'm always hungry for more knowledge.

What are your rates?
Rates will vary depending on the project, materials, and time requirements. Please email me if you have a project you would like to discuss.

What's with the little logo beastie?
My logo is based on a stuffed animal I designed early in my career. Instead of being cute, it turned out to look like a little disgruntled lump of fur. It was just absured enough and quickly became the mascot to my clothing line.

Where does the name "foompa" originate?
It was a name given to me by my dear friend Glen based on my resemblence to a "furry oompa loompa". I was wearing orange fur overalls at the time. The name just clicked and it's been my design label and alter ego ever since!
